Have not taken any interest in pop music in the last 50 or so years, but it was clear that McCartney was the one with the creative musical talent in the group. John Lennon, I've been told, could barely play his instrument, and was also an arrogant and pretentious arsehole

Ask him where he went 4th July 1965...there's a reason he doesn't own the songs

Heather Mills was right !

I'll be at the London show.

The set-list is pretty established, and whilst I'd prefer to have seen Harrison, what can you say. It's a Beatle.

A friend of mine worked as light rigger a while back on of Paul McCartney's festival tours a while back and said he was a lovely bloke. He bought drinks, chatted and shared a few spliffs with the crew. He was was with Heather Mills then (who was vile apparently) so might have been escaping to be with the lads.

He did some very interesting stuff with Youth from Killing Joke as The Fireman initially anonymously. Bit of an eye opener.

I was given tickets to see Rod Stewart blondes ave more fun tour 78 at Olympia, all the blokes had Rod hair cuts with tartan scarves and all the women were blonde Brit Ekland lookalikes.

We managed to get closer to the stage then he started a rendition of the killing of Georgie where next to us there were a couple of gays dressed in full length buttoned up mink coats hugging and swaying while looking into each other's eyes (in their defence it was December and brass monkeys out assuming they were fully clothed underneath :-(

Re: joe royal on tour with Paul McCartney .
I dont know what McCartney is like as a bloke and i dont really care. He was partly responsible for leaving behind one if the greatest musical legacies ever. And the Beatles only lasted for 8 years, fucking incredible. While he may not be the best vocalist ever his performance on the Long and Winding Road is superb.

Only my opinion but i still think the Beatles contribution to our culture us a little understated. There were only 4 years between 'Love me Do and 'Revolver'. Bonkers!

It's certainly no comparison in the sense that Rod can SING.

Re: joe royal on tour with Paul McCartney .
Nurse ... have seen the Plastic Jock live many times and enjoyed it. .... But - it would be nice if he spent more time on stage singing rather than letting nobodies sing while he constantly changed clothes. Paul, meanwhile, took his jacket off and sang and sang ... min 80 minutes longer on stage and many more hits ... still enjoyed Rod but not a good comparison

Having a go at him for The Frog Chorus. EDGY.

You may be unaware: it's a song for children.

Still, carry on. That Enid Blyton, eh? Paedowitch.
